306-27

Super Long Micromosaic Florentine Bracelet The early mosaic jewelry, such as this one, used minute pieces of hard stone or glass cemented together to create an artistic picture, referred to as micromosaic. The modern versions use larger stones and are sometimes mistakenly referred to as micromosaic.

This Florentine bracelet is designed from glass. It has a couple unusual features that are not seen on most pieces. For one, it is marked GM, which is stamped into the brass clasp. It is also a super long bracelet for the era, being eight inches in length. It may have been a specially made consignment piece for a client. Some stones are missing with cement residue remaining. I have tried to show each section in a close-up few for your inspection.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photo's for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

PR-4

Pink Celluloid Demi Parure Adorned with AB Stones This pale pink 60s celluloid set has excellent detail with various floral motif and sparkling Aurora Borealis stones. It's remarkable to find an entire set, and especially in this condition. There is none of the usual pitting to the finish on the hinged bracelet, or verdigris on the chain. The only flaws are the pearl finish has pealed off the necklace drop (which could easily be exchanged with another one), and the back of the necklace and clip earrings need a little cleaning from old body oil (it seems to come right off). Otherwise, it's in excellent condition. This set belonged to the mother of a good friend who is out of the country serving as a missionary. I am helping liquidate some of her things.

800-4

Hidden Schiaparelli Treasure This is the most unconventional Schiaparelli set I've ever seen. In her short lived business adventure Elsa used many designers, and the one that came up with this design was way ahead of times. This set was found stored away in an antique with many other treasures.

The bracelet is 7-1/4 inches and the drop clip earrings measure 1-3/4 inch. They are made of curved metal and molded confetti glass. Each piece is signed and the earrings carry the patent number dating them to the 1950's, and probably near the end of Schiaparelli's production. They are in perfect condition other than the missing safety chain on the bracelet. This is a grand set to add to a collection, as the original owner knew full well.

737-1

Gorgeous Miriam Haskell Pearl Set with Green Crystals Basic pearl pieces have always been Haskell's bread and butter, and the large number of simple pearl pieces available in the market-place confirms the popularity of this line. This set combines the baroque pearls with emerald green crystal spacers on the 25" necklace, and forms a ring around the earrings. All pieces are marked and the clasp is decked with rhinestones.

This set is not in too bad of condition compared with most old pearl pieces; with some wear on the necklace that looks more like shadows. There appears to be tied string near the back of the necklace where it may have been repaired at one time. The earring pearls show more wear, with the largest flake being 1/16th of an inch. All in all, the set is in good condition and wearable as is.

Click for more detail...
356-56

Large Jomaz Lion Pendant with Pearl and Stones Mazer Brothers was founded in the 1920's and has become well known for high quality jewelry that is avidly sought by collectors. The earlier jewelry was marked Mazer Bros., and later went by Jomaz. They went out of business in the 1970's. In my opinion the firm made some of its finer pieces under the Jomaz name.

The center of this pendant is adorned with a bronze enamel lion face. The pearl in its mouth has a lovely luster and it’s difficult to tell whether it is real or faux. Around the head and the outer edges are jade glass stones. This unique pendant is 3-3/4" by 2-3/4" and hangs from a 26 inch chain. The etched chain mimics the etching on the filigree pendant.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

796-19

Japanese Pearl Cleopatra Set This is one of the sets I acquired from a man whose wife collected jewelry from Japan for decades. From what I can see, she purchased but never wore much of it. This is no exception, as the condition is excellent. The bib necklace mimics the Cleopatra style. Two and a half inches wide, the faux pearls are set off by intermittent crystal. The clip earrings also pick up the chains gold tone with textured beads. With a book value of $190, this starting price for a newly listed item is a steal!

801-3

Art Deco Rhinestone Belt Clip Here is one of the nicest belt clips they made; with the normal brilliant rhinestones, green squares, and wired red glass beads. A pair like this would sell for $150, but that's when you find a set. This one is pot metal and is marked, which is not usually the norm. Fortunately this is the end with the clasp, so it's a cinch to fold it over, add a chain and wear it as a pendant that would give a real Egyptian Revival look. There are also two of the brilliant stones that are missing and one dead one that should be replaced. With a little effort this would be a real statement piece. I wish my husband had a little time to devote to it!

796-22

Too Cool Funky 60s Plastic Necklace and Earrings This necklace and earring set from the 1960s is just too cool. The beads are all plastic and range from faceted, round, and hand painted zigzags. The small spacers are deep green-blue Aurora Borealis facet beads that make the pink really pop. The necklace is 21" and the drop clips are 2 inches. All pieces are marked Hong Kong. This set came from an estate of a woman who collected bead work for decades and had an eye for what was true art.
