801-4

Modernist Coral Bracelet How nice to find a bracelet to fit a big boned women. It measures eight inches, which is a rarity. The five coral disc beads are held with curled barrel beads giving it a modern appeal. I would estimate this being from the 40s. There is what looks like a natural flaw on the top of one of the beads, otherwise in excellent condition.(Note: This piece was extremely hard to adjust the coloring to match the coral, but I did as best I could.)

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

795-2

Arts and Crafts Movement Flower Pin of Multi Material Wow, is this terrific. I almost made the mistake of listing this as early plastic. While doing my usual once over with my loupe, I found this pin to be made of various materials. The large yellow flower petals are poured glass. A top that is a plastic filament which is topped with a facet stone quarts stigma. The stepals are made of carnelian with more carved quarts beads daggling from them. I am not sure what the small rose is made from, as the resin leaf back covers almost the entire back and prohibits closer investigation. Sorry about the botany class, but with so many materials it was impossible to get away from it. There is no question that this is a one of a kind hand made beauty.

Dainty Pearl Grape Cluster Necklace This necklace is dainty and feminine, and a nice length at 24 inches. This necklace is very dainty and feminine. Book value $30.

752-2

3 Strand Baroque and Rondelle Bib Choker This is the sweetest choker with baroque pearls under a fourth of an inch in diameter. The pearls seem to be in mint condition, as I see no flaking, which is extra ordinary for this type of pearl. The only flaw is in the 2-1/2 inch back drop which shows verdigris on the chain. I used a soft brush on the upper section that appears to have removed it there. So with a little work you'll have a terrific piece; or you could easily replace the drop entirely. In the center are graduated lengths of rhinestone rondelles. Each end of the clasp holds a row of rhinestones as well, and all seem to be alive and shining. I don't feel the buyer will be disappointed in this choker at all. Book value $95.

495-26

Brushed Metal Park Lane Bangle with Earrings This is a fantastic match. The Park Lane bangle is done in a brush gold tone. It's from old stock I bought up years ago from a dealer that had done the home shows.

The clip earings make a real statement at 1-3/4 inch and an inch tall. They are like a burst of flowers and they match the gold tone of the bracelet perfectly.

798-1

Sarah Coventry Tassel Necklace This Sarah Coventry necklace is one of the most well designed pieces for wearing in my opinion. It's a good length at 22" with a 4" tassel. It hooks at the front with a C ring for easy on and off, and although made of chains, it is very light weight. The rings have finish wear but they match the soft gold tone of the chains. Book value ranges from $55 to $105.

Click for more detail...
356-56

Large Jomaz Lion Pendant with Pearl and Stones Mazer Brothers was founded in the 1920's and has become well known for high quality jewelry that is avidly sought by collectors. The earlier jewelry was marked Mazer Bros., and later went by Jomaz. They went out of business in the 1970's. In my opinion the firm made some of its finer pieces under the Jomaz name.

The center of this pendant is adorned with a bronze enamel lion face. The pearl in its mouth has a lovely luster and it’s difficult to tell whether it is real or faux. Around the head and the outer edges are jade glass stones. This unique pendant is 3-3/4" by 2-3/4" and hangs from a 26 inch chain. The etched chain mimics the etching on the filigree pendant.

801-5

Heart and Key Chatelaine Pin Sometimes referred to as chatelaine pins, this pin holds the "key to my heart". The heart is set off with five pronged beads that I believe are red coral (too warm to the touch to be glass). The hoop at the top could use some straightening, as well as the pin back of the key. This is an attractive piece that would look smashing on a lapel. Book piece valued at $50.

801-3

Art Deco Rhinestone Belt Clip Here is one of the nicest belt clips they made; with the normal brilliant rhinestones, green squares, and wired red glass beads. A pair like this would sell for $150, but that's when you find a set. This one is pot metal and is marked, which is not usually the norm. Fortunately this is the end with the clasp, so it's a cinch to fold it over, add a chain and wear it as a pendant that would give a real Egyptian Revival look. There are also two of the brilliant stones that are missing and one dead one that should be replaced. With a little effort this would be a real statement piece. I wish my husband had a little time to devote to it!

788-1

Green Glass Cameo and Glass Pearl Earrings Here's a pair of Kelly green molded glass cameo earrings that are sure to turn some heads. Set off with elaborate gold tone Art Nouveau style motif in which rows of glass pearls dangle. They are real beauties, but at close examination they have some flaws, none of which are truly very noticeable. There is a small chip in the glass by one of the prongs, there are a couple of the back rows of pearls missing , and the smallest pearls have some finish wear from clinking together over the years. Book value $85.

Rare Sterling/Gold Bow Expansion Bracelet These lovely expansion bracelets themselves are not so rare, but one with a bow and floral motif is. This one also has yellow and pink gold plating. There is the delightful scroll work on the band as well, and the inside is marked CA with an arrow for Carl Art, and S-G, possibly for silver with gold fill. The firm was well known for it’s floral motif and in the early days made silver jewelry with gold filling. It is in very good condition. Book value $165.
