836-11

Large Peacock Schiaparelli Earring True, it's only a single earrings, but too great to toss. Schiaparelli got the watermelon technique down pat, and this piece looks like the eye of a peacock feather. Use it as a collar clip, pendant, or if you are fortunate enough to have another one to pair with; it's in very good condition with no chips or scratches on the glass. I've included a photo with a coin, as well as one with it sitting on the coin to give the feel of it's size.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

Beaded Cleopatra Necklace with Earrings Nine strands of silver tone beads, black plastic and brass make up this substantial Cleopatra style necklace. The inner strand is 24 inches in length and the outer is 29 inches. It's not overly heavy so it won't be giving you neck pain.

The earrings are the same silver tone with swirls of mat and shine. They are clips and are 1-1/4 inch in diameter.

PR-3

Unusual Peking Glass Richelieu Brooch Richelieu is mostly known for pearl jewelry, both artificial and real. This modernist star burst brooch with green Peking glass (not a blue-green as the photos would have you think)is a very rare piece from the manufacturer. At close examination it appears that the metal is beaten up from years of knocking about in a jewelry box, however, the metal was done in a pitted texture when produced and is in very good condition. This brooch is a true classic that will never fade out of style. Book value $75.

793-1

Art Deco Eternity Rhinestone Brooch This lovely Art Deco eternity brooch with rhinestones has a lot going for it. The stones have a lot of sparkle, measuring over two inches it's a nice size, and the finished base metal is still holding its own after all these decades.

For those of you who have visited our store before, you know we normally leave all cleaning up to the new owner. However, after looking at the first group of photos, it became clear that this piece was more than met the eye with a gold tone shining through, so we cleaned it up. After cleaning three spots of verdigris became visible, but with a little more effort that can be removed to stop any further damage. I've included photos of the before and after. Book value $110.

797-6

Flying Creature Motif with Multi Cabochon Pendant This is a strange pendant measuring 2-1/2 inches. I love the multi colored cabochons with a dash of rhinestones and faux pearls that draw the eye to some kind of flying creature. It could be either representative of American Indian or more along the line of Egyptian Revival ~ you be the judge. The 24" chain is attached by a fleur-de-lis. (Note: the first photo is the more accurate coloring on the coral cabochon, and the lower photo more so on the others.)

780-1

Royal Blue Domed Glass Brooch with Bird Motif We're back from your trip to Europe with some lovely pieces. I knew this was special when I found it, but to be honest I can't find anything like it in any of my reference books other than a hand painted brooch on jet black glass.

This brooch is royal blue domed glass. There is wearing on the top, and when viewed with a loupe it hasn't seemed to affect the terrific bird scene. That being said, I am not sure if this piece is truly hand painted, or if the scene was part of the glass processing. I was attracted to it not just because of its blue coloring, but because I love jewelry with bird motifs.

Set in what looks like a gold frame with a textured rope twist edge that is hammered on and appears to be gold over brass. It has a C-catch. There are some digs in the frame work that is normal for a piece of this age. The pin is sharp, but has a waved shaft. This does not affect it use. Found in Hungary but has no hallmarks.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

407-1

Bakelite Rose Lavalier Made in Germany What a fine piece of collectible Bakelite. The drop on this lavaliere is three inches, with the carved rose being 1-1/2 inch. The dainty brass chain is another 18 inches with the ring closure marked Germany. It consists of filigree and ivory colored beads made of unknown material. I have not been able to determine a book value.

528-8

Super 5 Strand Pearl and Blue Crystal Set This has got to be one of the prettiest crystal and pearl sets ever. I still can't believe this top quality set does not have a designer signature on it. The faux pearls show no wear and the crystals really live up to their name, Aurora Borealis, and have predominately blue tones. There are the neatest tiny swirl spacers between each bead. The five strand necklace has a Cleopatra look. It measures 15" with a two inch back drop. The earrings are 1-1/2" with wired on beads. (If photos appear fuzzy, use the zoom to clearify.) Book value $450.

598-1

Outstanding Rare Pink and Smoke Rhinestone Set We just returned from a fair in the mid South and found the economy is worse there than it is on the East Coast. Plenty of people were just looking, and without exaggeration 85% that went through our booth were looking at this set, regardless of age or gender. It truly is one of the most outstanding sets I've had the privilege of offering to my customers.

The center stones are huge pink with smaller pink and smoke ascents hand set in gold tone. Unbelievably it is not signed. The bracelet is made in a curve of three rows with the middle tiered above, and measures just shy of 7-1/2 inches. The 15" adjustable necklace is two rows in the center that tapers to one. I have one 1-5/8" clip earring that can be used as a center piece on the necklace or as a collar clip. Unfortunately the other was missing from the estate.

Pink is a rare color to come by and even more scarce with the smoke grey. There are no dead stones or flaws of any kind that I can see. The closest thing I found to determine price value were both single pieces rather than a set; with the bracelet going at $240 and the necklace at $250. Without a doubt you will turn heads and have more compliments wearing this set than you would wearing diamonds. (Photos have not been doctored and the full set on the white background shows the closest coloring to the dark blush shade of pink.)

796-19

Japanese Pearl Cleopatra Set This is one of the sets I acquired from a man whose wife collected jewelry from Japan for decades. From what I can see, she purchased but never wore much of it. This is no exception, as the condition is excellent. The bib necklace mimics the Cleopatra style. Two and a half inches wide, the faux pearls are set off by intermittent crystal. The clip earrings also pick up the chains gold tone with textured beads. With a book value of $190, this starting price for a newly listed item is a steal!

452-30

Raised Daisy Petals with Rhinestone Center Bracelet I remember these sets from my childhood, as my mother had the necklace and earrings that you see every once and a while. This is the first time I've seen a bracelet to the daisy set. To top it off, it doesn't appear that it was ever used. There is paint loss to some of the petals on one of the flowers from years in a jewelry box no doubt, which is why I'm putting the condition at good rather than excellent. This is, of coarse, something that is an easy fix. The flowers themselves are a cream white, and the centers have clear, bright rhinestones. This bracelet is also a little longer than most, which makes it nice for a larger boned woman. [Side Note: If you purchase it at the full newly listed price, I'll get my husband, who is an artist, to touch up the paint for you at no extra charge.] This is a very sweet vintage piece to enjoy this summer.

781-1

Victorian Scottish Agate Bracelet "Purist" collectors say that "real" Scottish agate jewelry is never hallmarked; hence, precise dating is difficult. After Queen Victoria purchased Balmoral, a castle in Scotland in 1848, Scottish motifs took on a revival from the Gothic period.

Bracelets are a scarce find in Scottish jewelry so I was thrilled to find this one. Set in unmarked sterling with a lovely engraved clasp and a safety chain, the stones are held with a chain link and sterling bobs in-between. There is one repair to the chain in which the bead is missing.

The agates mimic the clasp shape and measure 3/4" by 1/2 inch. Remarkably there is not a chip or crack in the bunch. There are two of the coveted blood stones present, making this bracelet a desirable collectors piece. The colors are much richer than my photos show, but I wanted to capture the detail in the stone and silver.

754-1

Gold Plate Morning Set with Facet Black Glass This set is made of brass with thin gold gilt that is worn. The cuff style bracelet is ridged around the perimeter, and displays a leaf and flower motif. The center is facet glass with a center wired faux pearl. All the pearls on the set have lost their finish, showing a milk white bead, and show no signs of even being coated. The cuff opens with an under button and hinged opening.

The screw back earrings duplicate the motif and hang two inches. These types of earring are seen in many price guides averaging between $40 and $60, but never feature the accompanying bracelet. The set is a fine find. Book value for the set $120.
