I've been hanging on to these earrings for so long because I just love them. I do not have pierced ears though, and realistically I will not be going through that process a second time. I always thought these were faux pearls with Marcasite, but while taking the photos I could see that the stones are blue. They check positive for Tourmaline and are an ink blue coloring which range from $50 to $1000 a carat. Each earring has three tiny facet stones. Needless to say I've taken a closer look at the pearls and believe they are the real thing. They need a cleaning and have scratch marks from ill treatment, but they're huge (roughly 14-15 mm) and still very beautiful. No wonder I liked them! It's obvious the backs are not the original, and there are no marks on the studs, so I would say they are no doubt sterling rather than gold. Total length is 1-3/8 inch.
We always leave cleaning to the new owner, but see by the photos that these should have been checked better. The gold spot on the right hand earring was dirt that came right off. Since I am not a jeweler, we will offer a 30 day refund on these as long as the buyer contacts us within a week of delivery letting us know their intent. We do believe you will be pleased.
