Circa: 1930 Condition: Fair Size: 2-1/8" x 2" Type: Brooch
Miriam Haskell by design early brooch with filigree and amber colored beads. Across the top is a cluster of glass beads. The circular piece has beads dangling from it. It's made of two pieces, and yes, it is original and not added at some later date. The brass rivets that hold the beads at the top have tarnished from verdigris, which is a common condition issue with this designer’s early pieces. It is not noticeable without close inspection, and the dangled beads show no sign of wear. Book value $150. |
