Circa: 1890 Condition: Very Good Size: 1" Type: Pin Manufacturer: Unknown
This sweet Victorian pinwheel pin has all the charm that comes with an Art Nouveau design, and then some. The center prongs hold a precious opal from the Australian opal fields discovered in 1870. Around it and nestled in typical motif of the era are tiny seed pearls. The back pin has a ball hinge and a C type clasp, as well as a chain ring. Unmarked tested 10KT gold. Book value is $285, but current market value has dropped to $185.
