It's easy to tell this set is one from the early days of Weiss manufacturing. It is brass with a silver plate, and shows more wear on the clip earrings than on the 16-1/2 necklace. All the stones are hand set with large prongs. It's interesting to see the foil backs overflowing the cupcake frames; obviously well made with no signs of wear at all. The stones have so much shine it is incredible. Both the choker and the 1-1/8 inch earrings are marked. Book value $280. |
