Circa: 1980s Condition: Good Size: 1-1/8" x 1" Type: Brooch Manufacturer: Boma
The Boma Company started business in 1981. Their design has evolved into a sleek modern classic style, and they no longer manufacture pins or brooches. This brooch is one of the early designs taken from the Victorian era. It was hard to photograph to show its true beauty. The flared set Marcasites on each corner have a lot of shine in person. Also the foiled back dragon breath stone has a navy back drop, not black as the photos show. It's really a gorgeous piece. There is one flaw that I tried to capture in the photos; a small chip from the side of the domed glass top. It is hard to notice (by the large spot of burnt orange), even when looking for it, and is not sharp. Estimated book value $125. |
