Condition: Very Good Size: 7-5/8" Type: Bracelet Manufacturer: Unknown
You won't find another like this gorgeous bracelet. The more I look at it, the more I discover. The large green cabochons are some type of early plastic. There are three that are oblong and three that are set high. The later are faceted around the bottom edge. The six circular links that hold them are etched and the metal has a heavy gold plate with a lovely patina. Each link has delightful Art Nouveau motif of leafs and flowers which have prong set coral beads. There is a safety chain to keep it secure. It measures just over seven and a half inches with it's heigth at its tallest being one inch.
I have spent hours trying to find out something about this bracelet, but I haven't seen anything like it to give a clue precisely when it was made or by whom. There is no doubt it was done by a European designer, and may have been an early work of one that immigrated to the U.S., such a Hobe. |
