Circa: 1950s Condition: Excellent Type: Demi-Parure Manufacturer: Unknown
We just returned from a fair in the mid South and found the economy is worse there than it is on the East Coast. Plenty of people were just looking, and without exaggeration 85% that went through our booth were looking at this set, regardless of age or gender. It truly is one of the most outstanding sets I've had the privilege of offering to my customers.
The center stones are huge pink with smaller pink and smoke ascents hand set in gold tone. Unbelievably it is not signed. The bracelet is made in a curve of three rows with the middle tiered above, and measures just shy of 7-1/2 inches. The 15" adjustable necklace is two rows in the center that tapers to one. I have one 1-5/8" clip earring that can be used as a center piece on the necklace or as a collar clip. Unfortunately the other was missing from the estate.
Pink is a rare color to come by and even more scarce with the smoke grey. There are no dead stones or flaws of any kind that I can see. The closest thing I found to determine price value were both single pieces rather than a set; with the bracelet going at $240 and the necklace at $250. Without a doubt you will turn heads and have more compliments wearing this set than you would wearing diamonds. (Photos have not been doctored and the full set on the white background shows the closest coloring to the dark blush shade of pink.)
All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase. |
