Circa: 1950's Condition: Fair Size: 1-1/2 Type: Earrings Manufacturer: Miriam Haskell
From the set of the Amourelle white tapestry bead flower motif, these early M.H. earrings are designed by Frank Hess. They could use a cleaning, however the rhinestones are as shiny as ever. They have "gone bad" in the sense that someone replaced the original backs. The early clips were never signed, the gold finish matched the rest of the piece, and they were never glued on, as these are. You can actually see the finish loss higher on the back filigree from where they had touched the skin when worn in their original state. Overall though, they are still a great set of Miriam Haskell earrings in a motif not seen very often.
All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase. |
