I believe these cabochons are called Easter Egg stones. They remind me of the faux dragon breath. This one is blue with fire flecks. The finish shows wear, but does not distract from the rings beauty (it could use a bath). With the filigree, the face is 1-1/4 inch. The ring is adjustable so will fit any finger.
