Circa: 1920-40 Condition: Excellent Size: 5.5 Type: Ring Manufacturer: Unknown
This is the nicest onyx and diamond ring I've seen from this period. The manufacturer is J.J. White of Providence, RI who was in business from 1896 to at least 1978. The ring is marked W inside a triangle, as well as 14K.
Now for the delightful details; the onyx sets high up on 3/16 inch of beaded filigree with a ribbon bow on each side that is also part of the prongs which hold the onyx. There is lovely etching down each side of the band which is a size 5.5. The Marquise cut onyx has an Art Deco design carving into it with a sweet bezel set diamond. You’ll have to look a long time to come up with another gold ring as nice as this one.
All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase. |
