Here’s a bird collectors delight. This darling 1-3/4" bird is perched above her nest with four miscellaneous stone eggs. Two of the eggs are red, one is clear and the other gold, no doubt originally being a mothers birth pin. There is a lot of detail to this piece, showing even her small feathers and veins on the leafs. It is marked Anson Sterling, which mainly manufactured men's jewelry. Women's jewelry was only introducted in 1967, with a limited amount being made, and even less made in sterling silver. Book value $85.
The earrings make a nice marriage with their multi stones from a much earlier era. They are also marked Sterling and have screw backs. Book value $45. Forget the Price ~ MAKE AN OFFER! All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase. |
