This super Matisse Renoir brooch looks like golden butterfly wings popping through the enamel. It's a fantastic contemporary piece, with a copper circular stem.
I rate the piece in fair condition because of some grazing in the enamel. It's really not that bad, nor do you notice it if you didn't know it was there. The tiny spider sprays are surface except for two of them that you can feel with your nail. I also notice with my loupe that one of the points is turned up slightly with the enamel chipped off at that spot (about the size of two pin heads). These are very minor problems, but I just want you to be aware that it is not perfect. It is however, a beauty piece that is a rare item. Book value $85. Forget the Price ~ MAKE AN OFFER!
