716-11

H J Sterling Eagle, Fleur-de-Lis and Anchor Eagle Pins This is a nice lot of eagle pins. I'm offering them as a lot, as I know they are one of the more popular collector’s items and thought someone might like them all.

The older one at the top of the photo is the one that is marked HJ Sterling. It is holding a shield with stars and has anchor motif at the side. May be an old military pin.

Then there is one with a red shield with a Fleur-de-Lis pattern. The eagle is wearing a crown.

The largest is in the shape of a shield with a crown topping it and an enamel work eagle in the center.

Estimated price for the lot is $135. Don't miss this deal!

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

741-1

Mexican Men's Sterling Ring with Abalone I acquired this ring with a number of others, all claimed to be American Indian, however, I believe it to be from Mexico. It is marked Sterling, along with an indiscernible designer’s mark, which to my knowledge was not done with American Indian pieces. It's a hefty ring with a piece of nicely colored abalone measuring 5/8 inch high by 1/2 inch wide, another trait of Mexican jewelry. Because of the wide band it is not possible to get an exact ring size. It is a 10-3/4 or an 11. This ring shows normal vintage wear with no significant damage. Book value $150.

716-6

J.M.S. 10KT Etched Weaved Post Earrings These 10KT gold earrings are made by the J.M.S. Jewelry Manufacturing Co., Inc. -- Bloomfield, NJ between the 1940s-60s. The hoops have an intricate etched weaving through the center, but they are not flimsy by any means. They are marked J.M.S. 10KT and are a rare find. As always, I leave the cleaning up to the new owner as some prefer the patina that comes only with age.

498-1-1232487979

Gorgeous Gold Filled Saphiret Bracelet Saphiret takes on a look similar to moonstone, but with coloring like that of an opal. It actually changes colors from a clear gray to a fire blue, and a mute brown or pinkish. I have tried on and off to list this bracelet, but can never get good enough photos to show its beauty. These will have to do I‘m afraid. For those of you who are familiar with saphiret, you know it is gorgeous as well as expensive. This bracelet is 14kt gold filled and holds five stones. You are sure to love it.

375-13

Hand Carved Russian Scene Cameo Pin With my husband being from Europe, we went round and round trying to figure out the country this bridge scene is representing. It was only after looking at my enlarged photos that we realized it is a rare Russian cameo. Behind the bridge and buildings are the three onion domes. The cameo is in a silver filigree setting marked 800, and has a C clasp.

732-7

Art Deco Gold Diamond Engagement Ring This Art Deco engagement ring is full of charm. Its 10k yellow gold band with white gold square center piece holds what I would estimate as 1/8ct rose cut diamond. The detailing consists of beaded ridges wrapped around deco geometry. With the small size of this ring, it is apparent someone had it re-sized sentimentally for a pinky ring, and could be re-done according to your needs. It is marked 10K with an S. (Box is for display only.)

353-31

Sterling Dragon Posts with Swirl Body These are the most intriguing earrings. I purchased them from a dealer that was dropping his jewelry line from which he had collected items from his travels all over the world. I have no idea of the history or whereabouts of these, other than the fact that they are marked 925, which means there are many possibilities. I'm not even 100% sure they are representations of dragons. They could be rams. In any case, they are so unique I was thrilled to find them. They will need new backs because one is quite melted from being in a closed case in the sun at the fair. Book value $75.

353-24

Scrimshaw Hawk Cuff Bracelet , Artist Signed The man I purchased this from seemed to know all about it; that the artist is well known and his pieces are highly sought after. Unfortunately I don't recall his name, however, the piece is signed TR as you can see in the close-up. The artwork on this is fantastic. The hawk is sitting on a bluff that looks out over water, with mountains in the background. Looks like Alaska to me, and is probably a tourist piece from the 1950‘s. The value of Scrimshaw is something I know very little about. My price of $175 indicates a fair value compared with researched pieces.

After taking innumerable photos with a new light box, I just discovered the hawks eyes move with you; no matter what angle you're looking at, he's looking right back!

13-1

Unusual Silver Enamel Asian Pin This is a most unusual pin and I have not seen another one even similar to it in the years I've owned it. The Asian face is white enamel. She wears an elaborate collar that is green enamel and carries a huge crown or custom hat of some kind. The body of the hat is inset abalone wrapped in red enameled roping and topped with green enameled roping. The setting is sterling over base metal with norm wear. It is a pin that is bound to bring attention. Estimated book value $85.

Sterling Zuni Mosaic Inlaid Ring The American Indian jewelry has always been a fascination, but the 20th century saw the revival of the beautiful lapidary work of the Zuni as well as other tribes. This ring has a nice one inch face that displays the hand work of inlaid turquoise, coral, penshell, and yellow clamshell. It looks like a previous owner put a shiny glaze over the top. Size 6.5. Book Value $90.

259-32

Unique 12mm Pearl, Gold Posts I've actually hung on to these earrings for years because they are so gorgeous. As if I'm going to go out and get holes in my ears at this age!

They are 12mm pearls on 10kt gold screw posts. I have never caught on to the "tooth test" in distinguishing fakes from the real thing, but I did receive the above information from the women I bought them from. What I do know about pearls seems to fit these: because of their large size, they are most likely South Sea pearls which start at 10 millimeters and average 11 to 14. These have a deep iridescent glow created by the combination of luster and orient (the underlying iridescent play of colors) which make them look transparent. I have never seen pearls like these; so since I am no expert in the field, my price reflects it. I am selling them as 10kt faux pearls. If they are more than that you will be getting a real treasure besides a lovely looking pair of earrings. Book value $120.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.
