Regal Enamel Egg Posts by Avon These post earrings don't appear to have been worn. They are total regal and I was surprised to find them to be made by Avon. Measuring 1-3/8", they are deep red enamel eggs with brass and rhinestone accents, topped by the crown cross. One of the neat features to these is that you can remove the eggs and wear them as hoops. A rather nice idea for the working women or traveler. Book value $35.

Gorgeous Miriam Haskell Pearl Set with Green Crystals Basic pearl pieces have always been Haskell's bread and butter, and the large number of simple pearl pieces available in the market-place confirms the popularity of this line. This set combines the baroque pearls with emerald green crystal spacers on the 25" necklace, and forms a ring around the earrings. All pieces are marked and the clasp is decked with rhinestones.

This set is not in too bad of condition compared with most old pearl pieces; with some wear on the necklace that looks more like shadows. There appears to be tied string near the back of the necklace where it may have been repaired at one time. The earring pearls show more wear, with the largest flake being 1/16th of an inch. All in all, the set is in good condition and wearable as is.

Wonderful Dominique Paris Aurientis Ring Another wonderful Dominique Aurientis piece of art. Typical of the designer's baroque style, this ring is huge, being over 1-1/4 inch across. The faux pearl center is wrapped with Art Nouveau stylish lily pad leafs. The band is braided metal and is tipped a slight off center, causing me to rate the condition as very good rather than excellent. As adjusted now, it would fit a 9-1/4 finger. Dominique's pieces are rising in value and they are difficult to find.

Lime-Green Miriam Haskell Art Glass Earrings Two tiers with the top made of pressed glass stone and clear rhinestones; and the bottom with a large marbled lime-green art glass stone.

The adjustable screw-back was an innovative earring clip that solved the discomfort caused by the French clips. Sandy Moss was able to generate interest in these clips which were originally patented in 1945 by Markus Jellinek. There where few that actually carried the patient number as well as the Haskell signature on a small metal circle. This just happens to be one of them. Lovely coloring in excellent condition other than some verdigris at the ear points from wear, which seems to brush off easily. Book value $200.

Trifari 'Alfred Philippe' Golden Peas in the Pod Pin The golden Pea in Pod collection is one of my favorites by Trifari. It is gold plated base metal with rhinestones and faux pearls. Designed by Alfred Philippe for Crown Trifari, if was featured in the summer 1960 Trifari catalogue. This pin is in very good condition, just needs a light cleaning. Book value $280.

B.S.K.Pin Cat Tail and Grasses with Rhinestones B. Steinberg Kaslo manufactured costume jewelry in New York from the 1950's to the 1970's. There is an abundance on the market, some with intriguing work like this pin. It reminds me of cat tails and grasses blowing in the wind on the shores of Lake Michigan. A nice bargain here with book value of $35.

Rare Sterling/Gold Bow Expansion Bracelet These lovely expansion bracelets themselves are not so rare, but one with a bow and floral motif is. This one also has yellow and pink gold plating. There is the delightful scroll work on the band as well, and the inside is marked CA with an arrow for Carl Art, and S-G, possibly for silver with gold fill. The firm was well known for it’s floral motif and in the early days made silver jewelry with gold filling. It is in very good condition. Book value $165.

Fantastic Dominique Aurientis Leaf Cuff As is the case with Dominique Aurientis’ designs, this large cuff is done in her jewelry style of neo-classic. Large layered leaf motif is made to comfortably wrap the arm. This bracelet is a warm silver that gives the appearance of an aged patina. Measuring across the center it is 2-1/4". The opening is 1-1/4" but does give some. I have never been able to wear bangles because they don't fit my arm well (I don't have a round arm!). This piece is very comfortable, and I might add, very attractive. These are in such high demand; I am pleased to have found one for you.
