Philippe's Crown Trifari Blue Heron Jelly Belly Brooch Here's a good example of a true Jelly Belly. The Great Blue Heron was made by Trifari in 1943 and designed by Alfred Philippe. It is gold plated sterling with brilliant rhinestones and a Lucite jelly belly, marked Des Pat No 135175. The brooch is 3-1/2 inches tall and in very good condition. Book value $900.

Silver Double Parrot Brooch This brooch has an Art Nouveau look to it, although it's probably from the Art Deco period. Leafs and fruit frame the two parrots that are perched on a limb. The brooch is silver over brass with normal wear, and has a C closure. Book value $95.

Anson Sterling Bird with Eggs in Nest and Earrings Here’s a bird collectors delight. This darling 1-3/4" bird is perched above her nest with four miscellaneous stone eggs. Two of the eggs are red, one is clear and the other gold, no doubt originally being a mothers birth pin. There is a lot of detail to this piece, showing even her small feathers and veins on the leafs. It is marked Anson Sterling, which mainly manufactured men's jewelry. Women's jewelry was only introducted in 1967, with a limited amount being made, and even less made in sterling silver. Book value $85.

The earrings make a nice marriage with their multi stones from a much earlier era. They are also marked Sterling and have screw backs. Book value $45.

Super Bee! It is not marked, but I believe it is an older pin that someone jazzed up back in the 60's or 70's. In any case, it is the cutest pin. Looks like a bee with glitter, rhinestones and lots of detail. Measures two inches. In good condition with some glitter loss. Book value $60.
