Matisse Copper and Red Enamel Earrings Matisse, Ltd., founded in 1952, was a manufacturer of copper with surface enamel jewelry. They were out of business by 1964, so their jewelry is harder of come by than the more widely known Renoir jewelry.

These clip earrings are a fantastic example of the companies design, with moveable discs to change the appearance. The hot tomato red enamel is in near perfect condition, with just a tip broken off one of the ends. They measure 1-1/4 inches in length.

Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Earrings These beautiful clip earrings are amazingly unmarked, but obviously very well made. Gorgeous hand set pronged Aurora Borealis stones in graduated sizes follow a swirl pattern and shine all the colors of the rainbow. They are over one inch across. My photos don't show them to their true beauty, and make the brass color look darker than it truly is.

Miriam Haskell Style Pearl Earrings These clip faux pearl earrings are called Wannabes, fashioned after the Miriam Haskell style. Nonetheless, they are beautiful with their faux pearls and pronged rhinestones. No doubt made in Japan, they are in excellent condition and measure 1-3/4" in length with the drop.

Sterling Silver Religious Theme Charm Bracelet This charm bracelet ranges from the mid to late Victorian era. The seven inch Sterling bracelet is Art Deco and holds 15 charms as follows:
1. Front: Mary, Back: Notre Dame Montreal
2. Front: Praying priest/or Christ with wreath of flying birds, Back: Roses, marked Italy. Looks like silver over brass
3. Horse shoe and clover, marked Sterling
4. Ruby faceted stone? (No bubbles indicating glass), set in what looks like silver - not marked.
5. Front: Saint/or Christ with hallow - heavy detail, Back: Printed Virgin of Carmel, Mary and child both crowned. Child with scepter.
6. Mormon Temple marked Sterling
7. Sterling/Marcasite good luck charm.
8. Front: Cross, Back: Angus Dei, Inside: Lamb with cross. Marked twice Italy.
9. Crucifix Marked INRI
10. Embossed heart, Marked Sterling
11. Ruby faceted glass set in filigree frame. Appears to be Sterling, but not marked.
12. 2 Terrier/Bull dogs, appear to be Sterling, but not marked.

Middle Eastern Silver Set The 16" adjustable necklace is marked SRJ. This hallmark could be from a couple different American firms, however, the style appears to be more Persian. I have not been able to find out anything more on the maker. I have tried to include close-ups of the remarkable detail, and I'm not sure if this piece is sterling. Each loop is held by an unhinged link (indicating precious metal) with a tiny flower motif. It gives a delicate, lacy look when worn.

The earrings are brass clip backs, with silver fronts. They are marked SILVER with what looks to be C00. I believe these to be sterling from Jerusalem. They are 7/8" across and have lovely raised 1/4" detail work.

Chinese Silverwork Pin With Ivory Carving I've seen more of the silver and enamel jewelry work come out of China, but I have here another unique find. This pin is two sided, with a honeycomb filigree backing, and an elaborate notch scroll work front. It is not marked, but looks like a gold wash over silver with some finish wear visible with a loupe. In the center is a carved ivory Chinamen that is prong set. I'm guessing at the age, putting it between 1930-1950. It looks like it may have been pained in some areas, such as the eyes and belt, that have long since faded. This is a terrific piece of Asian artwork. Book value $75 - tell me what you want to pay to bring it home.

Reversible Egyptian Style Metal Bib Necklace Made with brass, copper and steel and trimmed in facet beads, this turquoise and royal blue bib necklace is a true show piece. The various design elements give it an Egyptian look. It's a total length of 25 inches that is easily adjusted. What makes this a real gem is that is can be reversed for a totally different look, like getting two for one! Book value $60.

3 Strand Baroque and Rondelle Bib Choker This is the sweetest choker with baroque pearls under a fourth of an inch in diameter. The pearls seem to be in mint condition, as I see no flaking, which is extra ordinary for this type of pearl. The only flaw is in the 2-1/2 inch back drop which shows verdigris on the chain. I used a soft brush on the upper section that appears to have removed it there. So with a little work you'll have a terrific piece; or you could easily replace the drop entirely. In the center are graduated lengths of rhinestone rondelles. Each end of the clasp holds a row of rhinestones as well, and all seem to be alive and shining. I don't feel the buyer will be disappointed in this choker at all. Book value $95.
