Made in the mid 50's the construction is unbelievable by today’s standards for custom jewelry. There are even rhinestones in the thorns! It's in mint condition with one shortcoming. As I tried to show in my close-up, there is a stress crack at the steam where it meets the flower. You don't even see it unless you are looking for it, but want to make it known. Add in the French pedigree and distinct designs of Dominique Aurientis and you have a genuine work of art. Dominique Aurientis has become a rising star who was trained in the studios of Dior and Isabelle Canovas. Her collections are entirely handmade with the very best materials. Her pieces are becoming high priced collector's items. This pair of huge dangle clips employees two of the materials she uses frequently in her designs, flashy gold tone, and faux pearls. This rare Eisenberg Original Rose brooch is sterling with gold overlay and is in pristine condition, with even the pin as straight as can be. It measures 4 inches by 3 inches. I've been sitting here for several minutes trying to think what else I could add, but I think the photos tell it all. This brooch came out of an estate with other fantastic pieces, some of which I also have listed in my web store. Click for more detail... 425-1	Outstanding Swan Motif Set Attributed to Har I don't like to make claims when pieces are not marked, however, this set looks undoubtedly like an unsigned Har. Just to give you an idea of what you're looking at, the Har set I have seen that was close to being this spectacular carried a book value of $1500. This set is made up of flex and marbled thermoset with a swan motif. A head and wing wrap around each side of the setting. So from either direction you get a view of a bird with its sparkling pink rhinestone eye. This is NOT heavy as it may appear. The bracelet is 7-3/4" in length. Each of the four sections rises in height to one inch. The clip earrings are 1-3/8" in length. The set is in excellent condition. In keeping with my desire to bring you the unusual, this demi-parure fits the bill and will bring you many compliments. It is so unique it turns out to be a conversation starter. Click for more detail... 518-1	Huge Schiaparelli Watermelon Earrings These Schiaparelli earrings come from one of the more widely know sets. The huge stones in the earrings were only duplicated as a single drop from a rhinestone bracelet, and the necklace only had the small rhinestones. They are so large, I couldn't get both of them into a close-up frame shot. I leave cleaning up to the new owners, and I can see by the close-ups these would look even better after a light bath. They were worn often by the original owner, as they deserve to be, as you can tell from the plate loss to the backs. There is also a small chip on one of the facets, but nothing that will hinder the loads of comments you are bound to receive when wearing them. The three helped restore Paris to its former glory as fashion capital of the world. Saint Laurent died in Paris on June, 1st of brain cancer. He was 71 years old. In the fast-changing world of haute couture, Saint Laurent was hailed as the most influential and enduring designer of his time. His creations span many styles, his designs were both rebellious and traditional and they brought women's fashion to a new height. The legendary designer rewrote the rules of fashion. He put women in elegant pantsuits and defined the way modern women dressed. Saint Laurent created instant classics. They remain stylish decades later as is the case with this stricking brooch. The brooch is 3-1/2 inches square. Five faux pearl discs set in a soft gold star and flash with large rhinestones that are still brilliant. An added plus, it doubles as a pendant if desired. With the death of the designer, these pieces will continue to raise in price as collectors snatch them up.
