FINE: Silver, Gold, Copper Jewelry

Last year we introduced our ATTIC SALE section. It proved to be a big success. Customers could see the book value of each piece of our older inventory and make an offer on it. With the poor economy and the need for all of us to watch our pennies, we've decided to turn the entire store over to the same principle during these hard times, so you can still afford to dress up without breaking the bank.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: You tell us what you are willing to pay to make an item yours, and we'll do our best to make it possible. DON'T BE SHY - This has proven to be as much for us as it is for you!

354-37
Spectacular Native American Silver Cuff, Marked This is a large two inch wide Native American silver cuff with turquoise and coral. The inlay motif of a bird in flight is taken from nature, with one on each side. It is marked HMIJ, T. A very small sample of this type of work is in one of my price guides for $70. I recently saw a collection of big Native American bracelets, with one like this in reverse stone colors for $800. You won't do better than this price!

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

595-7
Sterling Thistle Pin Darling blooming thistle pin. Marked Sterling. The design resembles those manufactured by Danecraft, but to my knowledge their early pieces that were marked only sterling also had a hallmark on them and this piece does not. It does not appear to have been a high quality piece, as drops of silver can be seen with a loupe. Of course, by today’s standards, this is a very nice pin that you would never find in a dime store; that is if you can find a dime story!

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

400-11
14kt Gold Jade Button Posts Jade made a big come back in the 1970's. But it was only in the fine jewelry stores you found it with solid gold, otherwise it was normally plated. These button posts are of the typical design that was fashionable at the time. Still in their original box, these are a swell pair of 14kt gold earrings.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

522-4
Victorian Silver Spoon Ring I was fortunate enough to get a hold of a sterling silver spoon ring collection. Each one is very unusual, not being your average find, as well as shows fine workmanship.

This ring is a size 7-1/2 and has l large Art Nouveau floral motif on the larger end, with leafing on the other end. Inside also has a scattered leaf motif. There are no markings that I can make out. Weight is 0.4 ounce. I have not done any cleaning on this, as is my custom in leaving that up to the discretion of the new owner. This ring is one of my favorites from the collection, and looks much nicer in real life.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

595-3
Chinese Silverwork Pin With Ivory Carving I've seen more of the silver and enamel jewelry work come out of China, but I have here another unique find. This pin is two sided, with a honeycomb filigree backing, and an elaborate notch scroll work front. It is not marked, but looks like a gold wash over silver with some finish wear visible with a loupe. In the center is a carved ivory Chinamen that is prong set. I'm guessing at the age, putting it between 1930-1950. It looks like it may have been pained in some areas, such as the eyes and belt, that have long since faded. This is a terrific piece of Asian artwork.

All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.
