Scarce Copper Retro Brooch with Cobalt Stones These lovely retro brooches have got to be the most neglected collectors’ jewelry out there. I'm sure the price will increase to their worth eventually, but now is a good time to start a collection.

This brooch is made of copper, which is not found often. Another remarkable feature is that it is signed "Hand Made", something I‘ve never seen before. The foilless cobalt stones are over half an inch with no chips. The only flaw to this brooch is some abrasion on the under side of the prongs. It's over 3-1/2" long and gives the appearance of flowers bent in the wind.

Brushed Metal and Golden Rhinestone Brooch At its widest point this brooch measures 2-1/2 inch. It's brushed metal petals are trimmed with shining brass. In the center of the sweeping flower petals are golden rhinestones. There are two places on the back where the plating has flaked off, and one small spot or smug on the plating near the center front. As with all my vintage pieces, it has not been cleaned.

Porcelain Pink Dogwood Pin and Earrings This book piece entitled Spring Fury is composed of porcelain, painted, lacquered and then topped with pure gold tips. The centers are unbelievably ornate. This set does have some issues, with a leaf that is repaired from a break, and a tiny chip on one of the clip earrings. On the other hand, you do have the complete set, which is not even shown in the reference guide. If you like the old porcelain pins, this is a nice change from the rose clusters that normally are found. Book value on just the pin is $20.

Red Glass Five Stranded Necklace This red glass necklace is a great find; being that red is not found very often. The beads range in shades from tomato red to the color of garnets, and the shapes vary as well. At it's longest it measures 14-1/4 inches. Cir 1950-60

Huge Facet Ice Cube and Silver Brooch This huge retro brooch is silver tone with a large facet center piece that acts like a strobe light. There is the normal wear, especially noticeable on the back with surface scratches.

This is a perfect match to the Schreiner earrings listed under "Just Earrings", although not signed and not the quality of the sterling earrings. You'd be hard pressed to find a better match though.
