Russian Etched Amber Leaf Pin This lovely etched Amber pin comes out of Russia. Made by local artist, it has grooved cut edges around each leaf, and etched veins. It is marked MET, possibly meaning gold plated. Cir 1970's.

14KT Gold Facial Figural Pin One of the most popular categories in figural costume jewelry is the face pin. This Japanese pin is gold-plated porcelain with hand painted features. There are only two tiny surface chips to the finish; otherwise it's in very good condition. When my Uncle was posted in Japan in the 50's, this was the type of souvenir stuff he brought home for us kids, but nothing as nice as this pin. Estimated book value $150.

Old Berber Morocco Sliced Amber Necklace This is an unusual necklace made with sliced Amber discs and brass filigree beads. It came into my possession from a man that was selling out the inventory of a woman who traveled extensively to collected and study Amber. This piece was inventoried as old Berber Moroccan silver and sliced Amber. I don't really believe the chain is silver, but could be. This is an over the head necklace with a total length of 26 inches.

Silver Scrimshaw Bird Cuff Bracelet Scrimshaw is scarcely seen in bracelets, and this piece is even signed by the artist. The man I bought it from said TR was one of the best artist in the field, and his work demands high prices. Unfortunately, I don't recall his name. The silver cuff is also marked on both sides of one end. There is some type of a stamp on the outer side, and the inner mark is letters, but very difficult to read.

The eagle or hawk is sitting on a bluff that looks out over water, with mountains in the background. It is very detailed and a fine work of art. At close view, the bird’s eyes move with you; no matter what angle you're looking from, he's looking right back.
